All known issues are listed here with a fix for it (if we have one).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"paid_plugins\">Issues with <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">paid<\/span> plugins &amp; themes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Right now paid plugins &amp; themes might not update. This is due to the way WordPress works and I&#8217;m actively looking for a way around this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"plugins\">Issues with plugins<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are a few plugins that might cause issues. Some cause no harm to others, some break the entire plugin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On this page you can see which plugins are causing issues and how you can fix these issues.  <br>Thanks to everyone for reporting these issues and helping find a solution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group border padding border-radius is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UpdraftPlus WordPress Backup Plugin<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-68b470330a91145e3e3707665c63cc50 wp-block-paragraph\">Does not update automatically, needs to be done manually. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Causes no issues with other plugins.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fix:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Go to the settings page of UpdraftPlus and select the option to auto-update under Advanced Settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Go to&nbsp;<em>UpdraftPlus &gt; Settings &gt; Show expert Settings<\/em>&nbsp;and select the option to&nbsp;<em>auto-update<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group border padding border-radius is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">iThemes Security \/ Better WP Security <mark style=\"color:#8b57ff\" class=\"has-inline-color\">(Unconfirmed fix)<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a75769e4fd1d34c24063fdf4c465cb02 wp-block-paragraph\">May\u00a0block auto-updating for everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fix:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Somewhere in the settings of iThemes it has an option called \u201cDisable PHP in Plugins, Disable PHP execution in the plugins directory. This blocks requests to PHP files inside plugin directories that can be exploited directly.\u201d turning this off may work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"updates_disabled\">Updating is globally disabled \/ All automatic updates are disabled<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you get the &#8220;<em>Updating is globally disabled<\/em>&#8221; error and the built-in &#8220;<em>Fix it<\/em>&#8221; button doesn&#8217;t work you&#8217;ll have to check your <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">wp-config.php<\/span> file for the following line (or something similar to it) and either remove that line or change it to false.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\"><code>define(  'AUTOMATIC_UPDATER_DISABLED',  true );<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In case this doesn&#8217;t work be sure to reach out to us for further assistence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Known issues &amp; fixes for Companion Auto Update A plugin of this scale can&#8217;t go without at least a few issues.
